The service with the steamship Mariefred 2025 has been cancelled. There are no departures on the routes Stockholm-Mariefred eller Mariefred-Taxinge Näsby and this is due to technical problems with the steam boiler.

THE STEAMSHIP MARIEFRED – a presentation
The steamship Mariefred was built in 1903 for the route Stockholm-Mariefred. Ever since, she has been sailing this route, under the same name, with few changes onboard, and with the same steam engine. Length 32.84 metres, width 6.33 metres, speed 10 knots, a 295 hp compound steam engine, 230 passengers. Since 1905, s/s Mariefred is owned by the company Gripsholms-Mariefreds Ångfartygs AB.

TIMETABLE FOR S/S MARIEFRED 2025

On Saturday June 7th, Saturday June 14th, Friday June 20th

and Saturday June 28th:

Departure Stockholm Klara Mälarstrand, next to the City Hall, at 10.00 a.m. A one way trip to Mariefred takes three and a half hours. Departure Mariefred at 4.30 p.m. Arrival in Stockholm at 8 p.m.

From July 5th until August 2nd:

Departure Stockholm, Klara Mälarstrand Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 10.00 a.m. Departure Mariefred at 4.30 p.m.

On Saturday August 9th, Saturday August 16th,

Saturday August 23rd and Saturday August 30th:

Departure Stockholm Klara Mälarstrand, next to the City Hall, at 10.00 a.m. Departure Mariefred at 4.30 p.m.

Arrival in Stockholm at 8 p.m.

Tickets: sek 460 roundtrip, one way sek 340. Children aged 6-16 years sek 230 roundtrip, one way sek 170. Buy the ticket onboard during the voyage or on this website.
